'I have come. I have done the howl. Now I wait.'

A lone teenager stands before the gates to Cherokee park and the carne beyond. His 13 year isolation within the lab had been drawn to a close when the glass walkers had. come to retrieve him. That had been a short lived reunion as they had immediately told him to proceed to and join this caren. He wondered if perhaps they had forgotten about him after the Camarilla had been wiped out, but such thoughts were pointless as they neither changed the present nor gave him any advantage for its knowledge.

He turned his head and decided to sate some slight boredom by striking up conversation with a nearby tree. He had been born in the lab thirteen years ago, and the project had been canceled thirteen years ago. The glass walkers retrieving him had been his first interaction with living creatures, let alone other Gauru. He had gotten quite adapt at handling boredom.

"Hello tree. How are you?"

(Note: read in a Glados like voice.)

In lupus, Devon's ears perked up at the sound of the foreign howl. After a short pause, he took off toward the source of the howl. At the fence in less than a minute, he skidded to a halt, hid against the outer wall and shifted up to homid.

"Someone there?" He called as he opened the gate.

His ears picked up the sounds of paws striking ground, a creature moving quickly to his position.

Calculating.

Four legs coming close directed by sound. Odds of changing breed: 98%. Odds of Gauru: 97%.

His head turned mechanically and awkwardly to face the approaching Homid shifted Gauru.

"One MoMENt PLease."

A few moments of silence past before he turned to face the tree again.

"i AM Well. THAnk you. I muST Go."

Once more, he mechanically shifted his attention and facing to the Homid.

"I Have BeeN INstructed to JOin yoUR CAren. I AM Here tO JOin. i AM A GLass walkER. IT Is a pleaSURE To meeT YOu."

For a moment Devon forgets he's in homid as he tilts his head at the newcomer through the open gate. "Um... okay. I'm uh.. I'm Devon, Paces-the-Car, Homid, Ahroun, Adren, Glasswalker. Welcome, I guess." He stands to the side of the gate. "Are you okay?"

He tilted his head, mimicking the action of Devon.

"i Am Gh0st. HomiD THEurge....CliaTh. I Am fiNE. How ARe yoU?"

"Hm." Devon steps back in front of the gate. "I'm fine. Can you give me a sec? I think maybe I need to call someone."
With that he pulls out his cell and begins texting Carry.


<Something weird going on at the Front Gate. Can you meet me here? Bring others>

"ThaT Is fiNE. i Can waIt. PleaSE consUlt wiTh thE OthEr membERs of thE CarEN. I WAs dirECTed heRE by GaIAHEartz."

Carry was asleep in her cardboard palace, nestled comfortable among literally dozens of rats, when suddenly her phone burst into music and vibration. The rats around her scattered, creating a black sea spreading outwards from the cardboard box. Carry sat bolt upright, looking around her, when she noticed her phone.

"This had better be good..." she grumbles as she grabs her phone, scanning the text message. She worms her way out of the box and stands, hrming slightly, before stepping to the shadows and out of sight. Several minutes later, a mangy looking wolf dog takes off out of the alleyway and down the street.

When Carry arrived at the park, she headed towards the main entrance, slowing her run down to a trot. She eventually meets up with Devon and the newcomer, taking a moment to squirm under the gate before walking over to them.

<<What's up Devon?>> she asks, taking a moment to look over the newcomer. <<And who is this?>>

Devon tilts his head toward the newcomer. "Listen."

"HelLO. HoW ARe yOU?" He happily greeted the newcomer. "YOu are tHE THird oTHer GauRU I HAve mET."

He paused, calculating.

"YOu are tHE THird oTHer LiviNG PErson I haVE Met."

The large black and grey wolf pokes its nose out of the bushes nearby and waits. It's nostrils move slightly as it sniffs at the new person.

Carry leans in and sniffs at the newcomer, her head cocking to the side curiously at the strange, mechanic lilt to his voice. She takes a moment, shifting to homid, before facing the newcomer. I'm Carry Johnson, rited Speaks with Stars. I'm a Galliard, and an Adren of the Bone Gnawers. What is your name?"

He paused. Devon would perhaps notice he tilted his head and answered in the exact same way as when he had done so for him.

""i Am Gh0st. HomiD THEurge....CliaTh."

A pause as he processed.

"PleasUre to MeET YOu."

"You are a Glasswalker aren't you?" Carry asks, a hand coming to rest on her hip. "You crazy kids always gotta be messing with something. You watch one too many robot movies and decide that you were a cyborg or something?"

"He smells normal," Eli growls from the bushes, "very clean. Too clean. But normal."

"GlaSS WAlker. Oh yES. I FOrgot."

He looked at her quizzically at her implication. "I Am noT a CYboRG."

"Okay." Devon shrugs. "If he's a garou, not wyrmtainted, he could probably still help."

"True enough." Carry agrees, and then turns to look at Gh0st. "Well then, welcome. Glad you could join us."

"I aM GLad as WEll. It wiLL BE INterestINg."

"No kidding." Carry grumbles, looking at Gh0st oddly. She stares for only a moment before looking over to Devon. "So many new people. I hope this growth continues. Gaia knows we need all the help we can get."

"Absolutely." Devon smiles. "So where are you from, uh, Ghost? You have a job or something? How have you only met three people?"

Eli tromps out from the bushes and comes closer to the group, stopping by Carry. He sniffs at the boy a couple times but otherwise doesn't interfere.

Seeing them gathered by another newcomer Windy approaches the group.

Carry turns, hearing Windy's approach, and smiles at her friend. "Hey Windy." she says reaching out to thump him on the back. "We have another straggler, and another Glasswalker at that. This is Ghost. He's a Theurge apparently."

She pauses for a moment, and then leans in to whisper quietly to Windy. "Warning, he's a bit weird."

He leans over to Carry's ear, "You think all of us glasswalkers are weird." He approaches Ghost, "Hello there I'm Brian "Pierces the Wind" Martin Philidox Fostern of the Glasswalkers. It is a pleasure to meet you." Extending a hand toward Ghost.
